Clyde E. Rice, 94, of Bellingham, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Born in Kentucky, he was raised by his parents, Nannie and Leonard Rice in Kenova, WV along with his 5 siblings, Chink, Clarence, Lawrence, Pete, and Ethel; who are deceased. He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Rice, to whom he was married for nearly 71 years. They met in Boston, just before Pearl Harbor.

Clyde was a WWII Navy Veteran serving from 1940-1946. He worked for GM Corporation in Framingham for 36 years and was a lifeguard. Clyde was a faithful attendant of the Faith Community Church in Hopkinton, where he was an usher and supporter of the church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, paint by numbers, jigsaw puzzles, Christmas displays, and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by 2 children, Janet Titus and her husband Greg of Woonsocket, and David Rice of Bellingham; 4 grandchildren, Eric and his wife Teresa, Andrew, Cherie, and Holly. A graveside committal will be held on Saturday, March 7th at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, 700 West St. A memorial service will follow at 12:00p.m. at Faith Community Church.
