More Live Summer Playoff Baseball on HCAM starting Saturday, August 8th 2020

A whole lot of Summer playoff baseball coverage is coming up for HCAM. All games will be live through our youtube stream at www.youtube.com/hcamtv. All games will also air later on HCAM-ED.

Tonight (Saturday, August 8th), the Ashland 7's take on the winner of Hyde Park and Walpole at 8pm at Adams Field in Holliston.

Monday August 10th at 7pm - Hopkinton Senior Ruth takes on Framingham in game 2 of a 3-game playoff series at 7pm at Bowditch Field in Framingham.

Live Ashland 7's Playoff Baseball on Friday August 7th, 2020

Tonight the #1 seeded Ashland 7's (15-1) take on #8 Walpole (8-7). These two teams met up Wednesday, July 22nd and Ashland took the game 7 to 4. Tonight's game is the 2nd playoff game for Ashland in the 2 loss elimination format post season. In their first game they defeated #16 Kingston 26 to 0 in a 5 inning mercy. The game will take place at Adams Middle School Field in Holliston. First Pitch is set for 8pm!

Community Notice: Voting Regulations for State Primary Election 8-7-2020

Voters of Hopkinton,

The new election law passed by the General Court and Signed by the Governor has significantly expanded early voting, by-mail and in-person. Due to occupancy issues at Town Hall, the Board of Registrars voted on 08/04/2020 to move early voting in person for the Primary to the Hopkinton Senior Center at 28 Mayhew Street. Voters will not use the main entrance and will enter through the library door and will exit through the side door once they have voted. Mask wearing as well as social distancing will be required.

Hopkinton Girl Scout, Julianna Lucas was recently awarded the Gold Award, which is the highest honor a Girl Scout can receive. For over 2 years, Julianna has been working on a project to raise voting awareness. During the project, Julianna worked closely with Town Clerk, Connor Degan and HHS Assistant Principal, Justin Pominville to learn about the voting process and raise awareness. With the assistance of Hopkinton Town Clerk, Connor Degan and HCAM, Julianna produced a video entitled "The Importance of Youth Voting" to help raise voting awareness.

Main Street Corridor Project Bid Opening Date Extended

HOPKINTON, MA (August 6, 2020) - Based on input from Construction Industries of Massachusetts, Inc., MassDOT has moved the bid opening date for the Main Street Corridor Project to August 25, 2020.

Due to the project’s size and scope contractors have asked for additional time to fully review and prepare a responsive bid.

Once the bid process is complete, MassDOT will award the project so construction can be scheduled and a start date will be announced. A press release will be sent out by the Town to announce the selected contractor and the proposed start date.
