-Hopkinton Hiller Girls Track & Field Finish 1st at TVL Showcase meet!
(Contributed Update) – Hopkinton girls track and field won the TVL Showcase meet against all 12 league schools on Saturday, January 31 at The Track at New Balance in Boston. The Hillers scored 80 points, while second place Westwood scored 65 and third place Holliston scored 60.
Senior Kaelyn Faber won the shot put coming from behind with her final throw. Junior Isabel Walker won the long jump, leading a trio of Hillers scorers (sophomore Clara Bransfield and junior Kylie Rogers). Senior Abby Burke finished a close second (0.002 of a second) in the 300m and also placed sixth in shot put and eighth in high jump. Junior Callie Owens (55m) and sophomore Emily Miller (high jump) each picked up a second place. Senior Chloe Tumbleton took fourth in the mile and sixth in the 1000m. Senior Meaghan Burdulis placed fourth in the 600m and also ran a leg on the fifth place 4×400 relay with Bransfield, senior Mary Finnegan, and junior Phoebe Klein who also placed eighth in the 600m. Rogers took fifth in the 55m hurdles. Juniors Jillian Toran (mile) and Wafiya Syeda each placed seventh in personal bests. Freshman Grace Getchell placed eighth in the 55m dash.
Standouts from other teams included freshman Lucy Downin of Holliston who won the 1000m and 1 mile and anchored the third place 4x400m relay, Dedham junior Amariah Montque who won the 55m hurdles and dash and placed second in long jump, and Dover-Sherborn sophomore Julia Ritchey who won the 600m and high jump and anchored the fourth place 4x400m relay.
A few Hopkinton athletes will tune up at non-scoring meets on Thursday and Saturday before the MIAA Division 2 Championship on Wednesday, February 11 at The Track at New Balance.

-Hopkinton Boys Track & Field took 1st out of all 12 teams at this past Saturday’s TVL Showcase meet. Hopkinton tallied 121 points and finishing ahead of 2nd place finisher, Dover-Sherborn who tallied 59 points.
