-Girls Varsity Cross Country: On Wednesday September 23rd, Hopkinton defeats Ashland 25-34, improves to 1 and 1 on season!
(Contributed Update) – The Hopkinton girls’ cross country team beat Ashland, 24-35, in the Hilers’ home opener on their hilly 2.9 mile course. Senior Lila Heling led the Hillers with a second-place finish, covering the course in 20:15. Junior Caitlin Pletcher and senior Jillian Toran took the next two spots, then a string of seven Hillers took 7th through 13th. Seniors Isabel Walker and Phoebe Klein, juniors Mairead Flynn and Audrey Evans, freshman Allison Pletcher, senior Megan Han, and sophomore Ireland Resteghini all placed ahead of Ashland’s fourth runner. Senior Sophia Warnetski led the way for Ashland in first place with Emma Keegan and Alexa Rogers fifth and sixth.
