While Town Hall and municipal buildings are physically closed to the public, we are open for business. Many transactions can be completed online, and we are available via phone and email to assist during regular business hours. A full Town Directory can be found here. A box at the front door of Town Hall may be used to drop off correspondence, applications, etc., and they may also be mailed or emailed. Parks, Playgrounds and Playing Fields are closed.
As of 11:00 a.m. on 5/5/20, Hopkinton’s Health Department is reporting 105 total confirmed COVID-19 cases; 65 of those cases are active, with 30 recoveries and 10 deaths. Massachusetts Face Covering Order; starts tomorrow Wed 5/6/2020 - REMINDER On Friday May 1, Governor Baker released an Order Requiring Face Coverings in Public Places Where Social Distancing is Not Possible. Community Contact Tracing Collaborative - NEW UPDATE If someone tests positive for COVID-19, the Collaborative’s Contact Tracers will reach out by phone to that person, and their close contacts, to slow the spread of the virus. Contact Tracers will make sure residents are getting the medical attention and support they need during isolation and quarantine. The caller ID will show the call is coming from “MA COVID Team”. Information shared during the call is strictly confidential and is treated as private medical information. Contact tracers WILL NOT ask for social security numbers or health insurance information. Parks, Playgrounds, Playing Fields, Basketball and Tennis Courts are closed. All Town open space areas are closed for activities until further notice. Residents are asked to exercise, walk dogs and enjoy other activities individually and not congregate. Fields, parks & courts should not be used for pickup games of any kind. Hopkinton’s trail system and State Parks remain open, but when encountering others, please respect social distancing guidelines.
State Parks are managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). During peak hours, DCR may implement parking restrictions (2-hour shutdowns), at their discretion, in an effort to prevent overcrowding and promote social distancing.
