Creative Circles – Art for All, in partnership with HCA, presents:
Artist Talk and Exhibition with Catherine Weber
on April 20, 6:30-8:30 PM
at Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA), 98 Hayden Rowe St.

Artist Catherine Weber will present an artist talk, Into The Woods: The Meaning and Muse Behind the Art. A body of Catherine’s latest work, Filling the Gaps: Encaustic on Wood, will be on display at the HCA between 4/20/2017 – 5/17/2017.

About Catherine Weber: Catherine Weber is a visual artist and poet. She has explored many mediums and produced a great deal of work that include photography, sewn textile art, bees wax, acrylic, printmaking and, perhaps most prominently, wood. While these many mediums might seem disparate, her work does, however, have a very strong thread: her connection with the forest and trees. In this talk, Catherine will share her creative process, and how her body of work has evolved over time and always remains deeply connected to her love of the woods.

Catherine has exhibited her work throughout New England in juried group and solo exhibitions, including at the Danforth Museum and the Saco Museum. She has received awards for both her paintings and her poetry. She is a member of New England Wax and the International Encaustic Artists. She holds a BA in Communications from Emerson College and an MA in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her studio is located in Southborough, Massachusetts.
