Don't Miss the November Vets Breakfast

Friday, 5 November 2021, 0900 hours, Hopkinton Senior Center

The gathering will be sponsored by Veterans and Supporters of the Employee Resource Group at DellEMC.

All veterans are welcome to share in the camaraderie of fellow vets. In addition to great chow (including SOS) there will be remembrances of lost comrades, and identifying those on "sick call."

Ann E. Ethier, 85, of Yarmouth, MA and formerly of Hopkinton and Holliston, passed away at Maplewood at Mayflower in West Yarmouth on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Born in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lucy (Ladd) and Arthur W. Coverly. She was the wife of the late Ronald Ethier.

Last Week Hopkinton Hillers Field Hockey and Boys Soccer celebrated Senior Night prior to their games, Girls Volleyball hosted their annual Dig Pink night to raise funds for the Side-Out Foundation and Hillers Football captured a win over Westwood. View highlights below!

The Hopkinton Hillers Varsity Hockey team is coming off a 7-3-0 COVID shortened season. Last years Dover-Sherborn/Hopkinton Girls Co-Op team Coach, Scott Hayes will take over on the bench this season for the Boys team.

Coach Hayes takes over after the departure of 10-year Hillers Head Coach, Chris MacPherson. MacPherson won over 100 games and led the team to 2 TVL Titles, the 2019 Sectional Championship and to a State Championship in 2019 in which they fell to Wachusett in a close game.

The Hopkinton Women’s Club will be holding its monthly meeting on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Please join us. The meeting will be on Zoom. Contact Judith Weinthaler, Membership Chair, at [email protected] for a Zoom invitation.

The program following the business meeting will be a presentation by Kathy Mazur, Co-owner of SWOON. Our programs are open to the entire community. We welcome new members from the surrounding communities and those with an affiliation with Hopkinton.

Community Notice: SMOC Fuel Assistance Applications Currently being Accepted

Applications are currently being accepted for the home heating fuel assistance program through SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council). The program runs from November to April, and is available to all households in Hopkinton if the total household income falls within their guidelines. A household of one qualifies for assistance with an income up to $39,105; a household of two qualifies with an income up to $51,137; etc.
