Hopkinton native, David Jeremiah is a Grammy-nominated songwriter with three top ten hits (You Changed My Life, You Must Have Known, Must Be You) who spent most of his career writing for the gospel and contemporary Christian markets.

Growing up in a musical family, David and his parents toured as a traveling singing group, playing at various locations throughout the northeast. “The highlight of my young career was when Maria Von Trapp came up from the audience, buried my head in her cavernous bosom and told the audience (with a thick Austrian accent) ‘Dis vun ees my favorite.’” David recalls. He was also the favorite entertainer for Kennedy family functions on Cape Cod and was the featured guest singer / guitar player for two PBS shows (Club 44 and Boston Today).

David spent the last 35 years in southern California making a living as a voiceover artist, lending his talents to television and radio commercials such as Sears, Petco, eHarmony, U.S. Steel, and narrating documentaries for The History Channel, The National Geographic Channel, NBC and The Discovery Channel. Children will recognize David as the voice of “Grandpa” on Disney’s Higglytown Heroes and video game enthusiasts will recognize his voice from the Star Wars video game series, Grim Fandango, and motion pictures such as Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II (Rise of the Witch King) and Adventures in Odyssey: The Last Days of Eugene Meltsner.

David’s songs - sometimes humorous, always deeply emotional - tell heartfelt stories, inspired by life events: “I went through some pretty tough personal times and started to write my thoughts and feelings into songs,” David says. “As it turns out, people liked them.”

“David’s humor and the way he puts words together in his songs is life changing. His voice is like pure gold.” Betty White, actress and philanthropist.
