Exclusive Hopkinton screening of the documentary film - Spirit of the Marathon II.
Friday, April 11, 2014 – 7:00 PM
Hopkinton High School Auditorium
90 Hayden Rowe, Hopkinton Massachusetts

“The marathon is the oldest, biggest, totally peaceful community activity in history.”
-Roger Robinson, Author and Journalist

The evening will be hosted by the firm of Mirick O’Connell in collaboration with the Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Commission and the 26.2 Foundation.
According to producer/director Jon Dunham, the film, which used the Rome Marathon as a glorious backdrop, had two goals. To “tell the stories of people whose lives have been changed by running the marathon” and “to capture the truly international nature of the marathon and how its transformative power has a profound effect on those who run it.”

The event includes remarks by producer/director Dunham, who is also the director of “Boston” a new documentary in collaboration with the Boston Athletic Association, on history of the Boston Marathon, due out in late 2015.
