Edward C. McIntire, 82

Edward C. McIntire, 82, of Ashland and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Beaumont Nursing Home in Westborough. Born in Reading, MA, he was the son of Edward and Gertrude (Doucette) Nordstrom, brother of the late Dick McIntire of Dover, NH and Robert Nordstrom of Topsfield and former husband of Ruth M. (Dogul) McIntire of Hopkinton.
Ed was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Air Force. He raised his family in Hopkinton, then settled in Ashland. Ed owned a successful masonry and construction company for more than 30 years.
He is survived by three sons Glenn McIntire of St. Johnsbury, VT., Jim McIntire of Southborough, and Scott McIntire and his wife Cheryl of Hopkinton, and two grandchildren Brett and Alyssa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3rd from 4 to 7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com.
