Enter Stage Left will be presenting Baby the Musical on March 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall (30 School Street, Milford). Tickets are $17 general admission; $13 students and seniors, and are available at http://www.hopartscenter.org/baby/.

Baby is about three couples who are newly expecting a child, with varying but familiar responses. Lizzie and Danny are university juniors who have just moved in together; athletic Pam and her husband, Nick, a sports instructor, are in their 30s and have had some trouble conceiving; and middle-aged Arlene, already the mother of three grown daughters, is unsure of what to do and is contemplating abortion while her husband Alan is thrilled with the thought of a new baby. Baby’s book is by Sybille Pearson, based on a story developed with Susan Yankowitz, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr.
“This play is a lot of fun and shows the different perspectives of people faced with the same situation, but with different reactions,” said Denise Laumeister, from Hopedale. “The cast has done a great job in exploring these varied responses, which makes for a great show about love, laughter, and life changing events.”

The cast includes Matthew Sherman from Newton, Noelle Laumeister from Hopedale, Philip Doherty from Hopkinton, Deirdre Hatch from Ashland, Michelle Margulies from Hudson, and Mark Laumeister from Hopedale. Ensemble members are Erin LaPrad, Lyndie Laramore, Nancy Murphy, Michael Ciccolella, Brian Kelly, and Peter Grill.
