Legally Blonde is performed and directed by ESL’s Summer Stock of high school and college students, which includes many young adults who are pursing a career in the theater arts. Emily Grill, the director, is studying acting at Emerson College and musical director Sinai Tabak is majoring in music composition at New York University. Students from design and art schools are involved with the costumes and set design, and many of the cast members are studying theater at college.

“Running their own show gives these very talented students a chance to get some ‘real world’ exposure in the theater,” said Kelly Grill, executive director at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. “The end result is a fun learning experience for them, and a wonderful theatrical event for the audience.”
