The weather was picture perfect on Monday, June 16th for the First Annual St. John’s Golf Fundraiser. 20 foursomes teed it up at the Hopkinton Country Club to benefit the continuing restoration of St. John the Evangelist Parish, a 150 year old church, and a Hopkinton landmark.
Several businesses and families from around the area stepped up to offer their support, either sponsoring a hole or contributing a gift to the silent auction and raffle. The title sponsor of the event was Callanan-Cronin Funeral Home. In addition to the $14,000 raised, the tournament also provided a great setting for many in the community to get together and enjoy a day in the sun.
