Our Government Investigations & White Collar Defense practice is growing in prominence with the arrival of partner Gerard T. Leone, Jr. Gerry arrives at NP having just left his position as the Middlesex County (Mass.) District Attorney. He was formerly the First Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Chief of the Attorney General’s Criminal Bureau, in Massachusetts. Gerry brings more than 20 years of experience as a practicioner and leader in Massachusetts legal circles, while serving the communities throughout the entire state.
While DA, and at the USAO and AGO, Gerry personally handled as well as managed and supervised the prosecution and investigation of thousands of investigations and trials in cases ranging from homicide to organized crime and public corruption, to health care fraud, white collar, environmental, and cybercrime. He was the first Anti-Terrorism Coordinator in Massachusetts, post–September 11, 2001.
As Regional Counsel and Managing Director for Vance/Garda, Gerry managed risk as a consultant in several targeted service areas for a wide array of legal and business clients in the public sector and private industry, including law firms, educational institutions, health care organzations and hospitals, and high-net-worth individuals.
