The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $7,000 grant from the Foundation for MetroWest (FFMW). The grant will support the administration of the HCA’s growing music program, which offers private and group lessons and classes for students of all ages and levels of ability.

The grant will have a high impact for the HCA, where education programs have seen historic growth over the last year. The grant funds are an investment in the music program’s sustainability, allowing for its efficient administration to better benefit the learning experience of its students.

Grants were awarded to MetroWest organizations at an evening ceremony on December 8, where another Hopkinton organization, the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center, was also in attendance as a grant recipient. “The Foundation is vital to our region,” said Kelly Grill, HCA Executive Director. She continued, “These grants solidify a notion that we’ve long held true: what’s happening in Hopkinton through its community organizations is making our town and this region a better place to live.”

Established in 1995, the Foundation for MetroWest is the only community foundation serving the 33 cities and towns in the region, connecting philanthropic interests of donors with demonstrated need in the areas of family support, arts and culture, environment and youth development. The Foundation has granted over $9 million to charitable organizations and currently stewards more than $15 million in charitable assets for current needs and future impact.
