On December 23, 2014, Golden Pond announced the merger of Golden Pond Assisted Living and Compass at Hopkinton. Compass will become the Memory Support Neighborhood at Golden Pond.

In a press release by Golden Pond, they said:

"Golden Pond Assisted Living, 50 West Main St, Hopkinton, has announced that they are now managing the Memory Support Neighborhood at Golden Pond formerly known as Compass at Hopkinton, owned and operated by Senior Living Residences (SLR) which had been renting the third floor at Golden Pond since July 2010. The Compass lease officially expired on December 13, 2014 at which time Golden Pond resumed operations with 95% of the Compass direct care staff staying on and continuing their roles with Golden Pond.

Golden Pond will continue to manage the unit with the same operating plan that has been in place with the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. Training, programs and ongoing therapeutic activities will continue to be the foundation of its success.

'We are very excited about the growth of Golden Pond,' said Katy Tavares, Executive Director of Assisted Living. 'Now that Country View is part of the larger campus, residents and family can take advantage of all the programming we have,' she said. As we enter into 2015 Golden Pond is positioned better than ever to provide an exceptional experience in senior living.

Golden Pond has a long history as the first free-standing assisted living in New England, operating since 1992 and a proven track record with dementia care."
