The Greyhound Friends executive director Louise Coleman is headed to trial for felony animal cruelty.

According to our sources, the judge set the trial date for Nov 28. The trial is expected to last three to four days. The Assistant District Attorney said the Commonwealth has 500 pages of documents, including inspection reports, letters from other rescue organizations, and photographs.

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources Division of Animal Health submitted an inspection report which contained the below findings;
• Dogs with serious illnesses being left untreated
• Dogs being denied preventive medication to protect them from life-threatening illnesses
• Dogs being sent into our community with diseases that can infect other people and animals
• Dogs suffering from internal and external parasites
• Dogs confined in cages that were too small
