Special “Advent Hymn Sing” at St. Paul’s December 6

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61Wood Street (Rte. 135) invites its friends and neighbors to attend a special “Advent Hymn Sing” being held December 6 at the 10:00 a.m. Eucharistic service. Music minister Karen Scheffler will be leading the musical portion of the service, which will include St. Paul’s choir and musicians. Those in the congregation will be encouraged to sing along to the 12 songs, which are favorite Advent hymns chosen by St. Paul’s parishioners.

HMS Theater Performs "It All Starts Here" to Honor Hopkinton

The Hopkinton Middle School Drama Club is proud to announce their fall 2015 production, It All Starts Here, an original play about the people of Hopkinton. The show goes up Friday, December 4th and Saturday, December 5th at 7 PM in the HMS Auditorium.

Video: Parks and Recreation Host First Women's Flag Football Season

Hopkinton Parks and Recreation aligned with the NFL to start a Women’s flag football league and the first season was a success. Over 40 women joined the league said Parks and Recreation Director Jay Guelfi "it's almost like a sorority now... they compete's really become a nice Monday night for the ladies".

The Parks and Recreation commission is looking to increase the amount of teams in the league, if you're interested in signing up for next year, you can see more at

The Hopkinton High School Top of the Hill Program honors alumni for their exceptional achievements and contributions to society. A ceremony in their honor was held at the Hopkinton High School Auditorium on Tuesday, November 24, at 7:00 pm.

For 2015, Hopkinton's 300th Anniversary year, the following alumni will be honored and inducted:
1) Paul Phipps - 1939
2) Mary Beattie Harrington - 1954
3) Thomas McIntyre - 1972
4) Denise Millard - 1992
5) Meghan Fennelly Altidor - 1995
6) Sean Terry - 2005

Hopkinton Hillers VS Ashland Clockers Thanksgiving Football Preview 2015

On thanksgiving morning Ashland and Hopkinton will meet for their 92nd thanksgiving game against one another at David M. Hughes Stadium. The traditional Ashland-Hopkinton thanksgiving game dates back to 1923 and has taken place every year except 1940. Last year Hopkinton won a snow covered defensive affair in Ashland 9-7. The Hillers have won the annual thanksgiving game versus Ashland the last 7 seasons. Overall Hopkinton leads the rivalry as their record against Ashland on thanksgiving is 49 wins, 37 losses and 5 ties.

Annual Holiday Celebration at the Hopkinton Public Library

Join us at the library on Saturday, December 5 before the tree lighting on the common! Sparky's Puppets will present "Stories from Snowy Lands" at 11:00 AM. At 2:30 PM, we'll host a holiday dance party with Amanda Maffei and local high school band Fuze.
