Heathers The Musical Opens at Hopkinton Center for the Arts this August

Enter Stage Left Theater (ESL) presents Heathers The Musical for four laugh-out-loud performances this August in Hopkinton. Heathers is a witty, fast paced musical that tells the story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who finds herself in the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High – the Heathers. Directed by NYU faculty Rachel MacKenzie, Heathers The Musical runs Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 12-13 and Aug. 19-20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton). Tickets are $25 adults and $18 for students and seniors (60+). Heathers The Musical, contains adult themes that may not be suitable for all audiences. Tickets are available on our website.

Music, Lyric, and Book by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy. Based on the 1988 cult film. Cast: Taylor Forsmo (Hopkinton) as Veronica, Temma Beaudreau (Uxbridge) as Heather Chandler, Marissa Carlin (Bellingham) as Heather Duke, Carleigh Peterson (Ashland) as Heather Macnamara, and Chet Davino (Plainville) as J.D. Additional cast members include: Lindsay Baron, Matthew Dempsey, Elisa Dong , Matthew Fliegauf, Chloe Gardner, Kyle Gazoorian, Kara Hadden, Mai Hartwich, Sam Keith, Solani Kumar, Julia Lotvin, Jack McAuliffe, Evelyn Oliver, Daniel Potapov, Sean Sanford, Kyran Schnur, Mike Southworth, Ronald Vorce, Amanda Wade.

Director Rachel MacKenzie (Milford) has worked on many Enter Stage Left Theater productions, including last year’s Thoroughly Modern Millie. MacKenzie currently resides in New York City where she serves as a member of the Adjunct Voice Faculty at NYU where she recently completed a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance for Musical Theatre and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. She earned undergraduate degrees in Piano, Voice, and Anthropology from UMass Amherst.
