Dear Parents and Students,

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jacob Santamaria as the Interim Assistant Principal of Hopkinton High School, effective January 2, 2013.

Mr. Santamaria is a retired educator who spent his entire career at Dedham High School. He taught health and physical education for 8 years, was the Athletic Director for 12 years, the Assistant Principal for 11 years, and finally served as Dedham High School’s principal for three years until his retirement in June, 2011. Mr. Santamaria also coached Varsity Boys Lacrosse, Soccer and Tennis. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston State College, a Masters in Education from Bridgewater State and earned his administrative credentials from Boston College.

As mentioned above, Mr. Santamaria’s experience and familiarity with the role of assistant principal make him the ideal candidate for the interim position at the high school. We are very excited to have Mr. Santamaria as part of our administrative team and are confident that he understands, and is committed to continuing the work that lies ahead here at Hopkinton High School.

Sincerely,

Evan Bishop
Interim Principal
Hopkinton High School
