Heather Siebert was a student of Hopkinton High School and a friend to all who knew her. While she was originally a member of the Class of 2003, unexpected and mysterious health problems forced Heather to face a long and difficult battle – a battle she faced with an inspiring level of courage and strength. Even though continuing her education was difficult at times, Heather worked hard, overcame obstacles, and ultimately graduated from HHS in 2004. She even went on to complete her freshman year at Plymouth State University despite her ongoing health needs.

Heather's disorder was never diagnosed and the sum of her ailments became known as "Heather's Syndrome.” Despite the unique challenges Heather had to face as a teenager and young adult, she always remained a caring friend, a loving daughter and sister, and helper of those in need. Over the years, she touched many lives through her involvement with the Massachusetts Special Olympics, American Diabetes Association Child and Youth Services Committee, and the Hopkinton Athletic Association. She also worked on a committee at Boston Children's Hospital to develop and provide entertainment for teen patients. She was also a supporter of Cystic Fibrosis Research.

After battling "Heather's Syndrome” for over 10 years, Heather passed away in October 2009, leaving behind an incredible legacy of bravery, determination, and love.

In order to continue that legacy and honor our dear friend, Hopkinton High School's Class of 2003 is raising money for the Heather Lynne Siebert Patient Support Fund at Boston Children's Hospital. This fund was named in Heather's honor and assists families of children receiving services from the hospital by helping to pay for costs not covered by insurance including parking, lodging, meals, and other needs.

Donations will be accepted until Friday, November 29th. All funds collected will be donated in memory of Heather Siebert by the Class of 2003 during our 10-year reunion event on November 30th. Please help us to honor our friend's memory by making a donation today. No amount is too small!
