The decision has been made to postpone the Hopkinton Golf Fundraiser from this Monday, Aug. 15TH to the new date WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24TH- Same times @ Shining Rock C.C. Registration 11:00-11:30 and golf at noon.
This decision was based on the forcast of rain all day on Monday. The Shining Rock C.C. needed to have an answer by this morning because they had to plan on food for 160 people. So let's hope our date on Aug. 24th is a beautiful day. It's the day before we start our HHS golf try-outs and season. Good way to kick off the new season.
We might lose some players due to previous committments on Aug. 24th, but in the best interest of everyone having a great day of golf and fun I chose to move the date because of weather forcast. This will give The HHS Golf Committee and myself some extra time to be able to get a few more hole sponsors and raffle prizes. Bob Dobinsky has done a great job on the hole sponsor signs. We'll be able to give these hole sponsor signs back to the families, vendors, businesses and other people that have donated after the tournament. We will refund money to players that have paid to play that cannot committ to the new date August 24th. If you cannot make this new date- PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP so I can make a great effort over the next week to replace players in the tournament that have another committment on Aug. 24th. I really hope everyone will be able to make the new date.
