Hiller Golf 9-0

The Hiller Varsity Golf Team played extremely well in the cold and rainy conditions at Hopkinton Country Club today. The Hillers defeated Bellingham by a very convincing score of 232 to the Blackhawks 326. The Hillers record is now 9 - 0 ( first place in the TVL ) and their next match is at home again tomorrow vs. Medfield at Hopkinton C.C. All eight players in the match played very well. Leading the way for the Hillers was Sr. Capt. Jimmy Hervol with an even par 36 - Matt Johnson & Connor Czerepuszko both shot 38's - Jake Doherty shot 39 - Geoff Holler carded a 40 - Drew Simi & Jacob Southern both shot 41's and Aidan Curry played well and shot 42. There's not many teams in the TVL that can have all 8 players shoot 42 or under in their matches at Hopkinton Country Club. Great playing by the Hillers today.

The other practice scores from the other players playing nine holes today are as follows: Anthony DePaolo - 42 - Stephen Auslander shot a great 42 also. Jason Randall & Kyle Schlicke both scored 43's - Kyle Halloran - Nate Tuite and Andrew McGuire all shot 44's - Matt Locke had 45 - Dario Venuto & Will Abernethy shot 46's - Dylan Goodnough & Nathan Mezitt shot 47's - Nick Scire - 48 - Jack Quinlan & Anthony Lisciotto scored 50's Chris Hadley - 51 -Jon Simmer - 52 and Kyle Fairbanks shot 56.

On Wednesday, everyone will be at HCC right after school. The weather forecast calls for rain most of the day. The Varsity will tee off at around 3:00PM with their match vs. Medfield.

HOPKINTON @ MILLIS UPDATE - The varsity match that was postponed on Sept. 24th vs. Millis at HCC will now be played on Oct. 13th - Columbus Day - at 2:00PM at Glen Ellen C.C.
