The Varsity Hockey team lost a heartbreaker to rival Ashland last night 3-2. The Hillers jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a great face-off play, with Ian Murphy winning the draw back to Eric Guilmette. Guilmette who fired home a lazer to beat the Ashland goalie. With the score tied 1-1, Freshman Jordan Carroll made a great feed from behind the net and Murphy fired the puck home to put the Hillers up 2-1. After killing off the first penalty of a 5-3 situation, Ashland was able to tie the game on the powerplay. The action went back and forth with both teams coming close. With about 3 minutes to play, there was a scrum behind the Hiller net and the Clockers were able to squeak one by for the win.

The Hillers take on Medfield Saturday night at 7:00pm @ the Navin area. You can follow all the hockey action on Twitter @hillerhockey
