The Hockey team made a statement in their first round playoff game against Bourne, picking up a 4-0 Win before a packed crowd including a great showing from the student body. After a scoreless 1st that saw the Hillers out shoot Bourne 12-4, Hopkinton opened the scoring on a beautiful pass play from JH Vokey to Cam Finlayson, on what turned out to be the game winner. Finlayson took the cross ice pass firing it home for his 100th career point as a Hiller . About a minute and a half latter, another picture perfect pass play from Will Pickens to Owen Delaney, to Jack Sloan, and the Hillers were up 2-0. Will Abbott netted the third goal of the game from Finlayson and Steve Simoes. Abbott finished the scoring, banking a shot from low in the circle off the Bourne goalie on a pass from Everett Rolph and Finlayson, to cap off the 4-0 Win. Tim McGrath picked up his 6th shutout of the year, stopping all 15 shots, some point blank. for the win. Hopkinton outshot Bourne 39-15. The 18-3 Hllers now face a tough, Cohasset team this Saturday, at 2:30pm in Bourne.
