Hiller Hockey

By Eric Carty, Assistant Hockey Coach, WBZ Ch 4 Weather Watcher, National Weather Service Spotter

The Hiller hockey program almost had it's second straight last period comeback in a week. After the Varsity scored 3 goals in the third against Milford to earn the tie, the JV's were looking to equal the task. Falling behind 2-0, Dan Delaney made a great end to end rush and finished it off with a great pass to Alex Juffras who buried it to put the Hillers on the board. Down 3-1to Ashland in the last period, the sustained fore check made for several chances. With the goalie pulled the Hiller attack again scored as Juffras netted his second of the night from Ryan Cunniff and Will Lindon. After gaining control of the face off, the goalie was again pulled and Hillers swarmed the Clocker net with multiple shots but were unable to get the equalizer. Tim Montgomery was again solid in net, keeping the game close.
