The boys Hockey team returned to winning form yesterday afternoon, defeating Auburn 5-0 at home in Navin.

After a scoreless first period , Will Abbott got the Hillers on the board with a nice tip in front on a pass from Will Karpenski. Bill Allen also had an assist on the play. Senior Brandon Carty dug the puck out of the corner and laid a nice backhand pass to Nikolai Saporoschetz in front for the second goal of the game. The Hiller special teams then went to work. Senior Mike Messier started the play with a nice pass to Everett Rolph, who snapped off a wrister that was tipped perfectly in front by Alex Kosheff for the third of the game. Shortly after that, Carty broke down the left side, making a nice centering pass to Saporoschetz who then found Kosheff streaking to the net for his second of the night. Senior Jordan Carroll completed the scoring, fighting for a rebound in front and putting it by the Auburn goaltender. Senior Brendan O'Leary and Spencer Coveney assisted on the play.

Freshman Dylan O'Leary had a 14 save shutout in his second varsity start. The Hillers next game is Friday afternoon in the Fitchburg Christmas tournament, taking on Oakmont @ 2:30pm in the Fitchburg Civic Center.
