Hillers Shine at TVL Championship

The jumpers, runners and throwers of Hopkinton proved their worth yesterday at the Reggie Lewis Center. Capping off undefeated seasons the girls scored 118 points with a strong Westwood squad coming in second at 97 and Medfield rounding off the top three with 44. The boys meet was a bit tighter with Hopkinton 85, Norton 63, Westwood 60, and Medfield 48.

Individual winners included Jess Scott and Jack Lampert in the 55m dash, Melissa Lodge and Tim Bolick in the mile, Leah Holmes in the 600m, Bolick in the 1000m, Kaylin Albanese in the 55m hurdles, and Lindsay Manning in the shot put. The relays had a great showing as well with Hopkinton winning 3 out of the four races: both the girls 4 x200 and 4x 400 and the boys 4 x 200. Pat Levenson set a new school record in the 2 mile (9:50.0) with his 2nd place finish.

Other noteworthy performers include: Evan Park in the 2 mile, Shaun Palmer in the hurdles, Jackie Chirco and Traci Arnold in the in the shot put, Julie Younis and rnold in the 55m dash, Taylor Dourney in the 300m, Britt Schillinger in the 600m, Liz Allen in the 1000m, MP Monks in the mile, Tara Branch and Marykate Cavanough i the 2 mile, Meaghan Beidleman and Nicole Belisle in the 55m hurdles, Tim Jenis and Beidleman in the dash, Nick Gallagher in the 300m, Corey Branch in the 600m, Matt Bowman and Tim Towner in the high jump, and finally Sam Danaceau and Jack Cote in the JV Mile.

Qualifying athletes will compete at the Division III State Meet on Thursday, February 14th at the Reggie Lewis Center.
