Hillers Sports Update 10-14-2016

-Hopkinton Field Hockey improved to 8-3-2 (18 Points) as they took down Medway 3-1. The Mustangs fall to 6-5-2 (14 Points).

-Hillers Boys and Girls Cross Country both got wins over Ashland. The Boys won 21-40, Girls 18-42. The Hillers Boys are now 4-2 on the season, while Ashland falls to 2-5. Hillers girls are a perfect 6-0, while Ashland is 4-2.

Contributed Updates:

-The 8th grade field hockey team continued their winning ways with a 2-0 win at Holliston yesterday. Strong offensive pressure and solid defense allowed Hopkinton to dominate most of the game. Both goals from Leila Frederick (one assisted by Sarah Doyle) and thanks to Rose McKeon and Eleri Schutte who tended the net. The team is now 5-0-1...go Hillers!

-The HMS boys' soccer team won 3-2 in Wellesley yesterday. Patrick Crantz played well in goal saving a penalty kick late in the game when the score was tied 2-2. Rex Lind and Jesse Chambers scored in the first half. Russell DeMarco scored the winning goal with about a minute left in the game. The boys play at home today at 4:30 on field 13.
