Hillers Sports Update 9-28-2016

-Hillers Boys Cross Country took down Holliston on Wednesday 21-38 and improved to 3-1 on the season. Despite losing a lot of the team to graduation last year, this years young Hillers are tied for 2nd in the TVL.

-Hillers GIrls Cross Country continued to show why they are ranked 3rd in the state as they defeated Holliston 15-50. The Hillers and Dover-Sherborn are both 4-0 and the only teams in the TVL with undefeated records.

-Hillers Field Hockey defeated Ashland 1-0 on Wednesday. Hillers improved to 5 Wins 1 Loss 2 Ties on the season and are 2nd in the TVL with 12 points.

-Hillers Golf outshot Holliston 240-270 and improved to 9-2 on the season. Hillers are 2nd place in the TVL behind 9-1 Dover-Sherborn.

-Hillers Boys Soccer lost to a tough Medway team 3-0. The Hillers are now 3-4-1 on the season and have 7 points.

-Hillers Girls Soccer handed undefeated Medway their first tie of the season as the defense took over the game. Both teams were held scoreless as the Hillers picked up a very difficult point against the defending division champs. The Hillers are now 1-3-4 on the season and have 6 points.

-Hillers Volleyball shutout Norton winning 3 straight sets. The Hillers are at the top of the TVL with a 8-1 record and on a 6 game winning streak.

-The 8th grade field hockey had a solid 2-0 win over a very strong Medfield squad yesterday. Great net from Sarah Doyle and Amanda Kelley combined with persistent offensive pressure and solid defense kept the ball in Hopkinton's half most of the game. Goals from Leila Frederick (assist - Alexa Kaplan) and another off a corner (coach's favorite) from Elizabeth Kane with an assist from Tate Frederick. Kudos Team!

-The HMS boys’ soccer team won their game yesterday in Millis 4-0. The entire team played exceptionally well. Rex Lind and Russell DeMarco had two goals apiece. Danny Andrews notched a couple of assists. The boys travel next week to Dedham and Ashland.
