On behalf of the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, we’d like to thank the many local businesses and individuals who helped make our opening night gala a smashing success.

More than 300 HCA supporters came to “Lights Up! Opening Night at the HCA” November 7 to celebrate this vibrant new center for the arts in Hopkinton. Thanks to generous donations from businesses and individuals, the enthusiasm of our guests and the hard work of our committee, the gala raised more than $125,000 for our new center. We now have less than $100,000 more to go to complete funding for the $1.9 million renovation and expansion.

We could not have done it without local business sponsors who provided financial support for the gala. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all our sponsors: Gold Sponsors Blackstone Valley Wealth Management, LLC; CVS Health; Webster First Federal Credit Union and UniBank; and sponsors Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects; Ameriprise Financial: Omogrosso, Carey & Associates; J.D. Marquedant &Associates, Inc.; Angel’s Garden Center/Red Barn Coffee at Angel’s Café; B-P Trucking; Beehive Media; Crosspoint Associates; Lorelei Beads; Phipps Insurance Agency; The Vin Bin; Thomson Architects, Inc.; CrossFit Resilience; Hiller’s Cleaners; Hopkinton Drug; Hopkinton Jewelers and Richard Francis Salon.

Other local businesses donated food and drink, talent and time to the gala. We’d like to thank Peppers Fine Catering, Baker’s Best, Primavera Restaurant, Water Fresh Farm, Bittersweet, Harpoon Brewery, McAuliffe and Associates, Hopkinton Wine and Spirits, Julios and Stirrings.

Such partnerships -- involving businesses, the Town of Hopkinton, generous donors who gave directly to the HCA or through the Hopkinton Community Endowment, and passionate supporters of the arts -- have helped the Hopkinton Center for the Arts fulfill a vision that began more than two decades ago with a small band of artists who saw great potential in an aging farmhouse and barn. With the community’s help we are realizing that vision. We are profoundly grateful.
