The Hopkinton Cheerleaders continue on their road of success winning the TVL (Tri-Valley League) championship on Sat. Feb 11 hosted by Medway high School AND since they received the TOP score were awarded the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP title.

The Hiller Cheerleaders continue to raise money for their trip to Florida where they will compete in the National Championship representing Hopkinton in March. So far, the Hiller Cheerleaders have worked with local businesses such as Cold Stone Creamery where they had an "All Star Scoop" event where the Lady hillers scooped ice cream for customers and also "Next Generation" where they had a "Shop and Drop" event where parents could drop their children off while they shopped for the Holidays. The Hopkinton Cheerleaders currently have two fundraising events - The Hiller Cheerleaders will host a Trivia night on March 2nd at the Woodville Rod and Gun Club. Doors open at 7 PM with raffle tickets being sold for a chance to win Red Sox Ticker and a Cheer Clinic which will be held on Feb. 21st and 22nd from 12 - 3 PM. Cost is $50. This is a great way to learn some of the skills necessary to be great cheerleader. Also - it is a fun activity for children during school break.

So far the girls are half way to meeting their goal of raising 18k. The community has been very supportive with a lot of local business's sponsoring Basketball brochures, T-shirts and providing raffle items. The Hillers also received an extremely generous donation from Verizon in the amount of $1,500 due to the volunteer efforts of Prunty's of Hopkinton. If anyone is interested in registering for any of the upcoming events or would like to donate, please contact Coach Melissa Zwang or speak to one of the cheerleaders at Hiller@gmail.com.
