The Hopkinton Education Foundation is once again holding its annual Golf Ball Drop on Thursday, June 9th to raise funds that will support grants for Hopkinton teachers and other school professionals.

One thousand golf balls will be dropped from a hot air balloon provided by event sponsor Re/Max Executive Realty. Each ball will have a number that corresponds with the one given to the person who “buys” that ball.

$1,000 will be given to the person whose ball either goes into, or is closest to, the hole placed below the balloon. The owner of the ball that lands farthest from the pin will win $100.

In addition to the golf ball drop, families will have the chance to enjoy face painting, popcorn, candy cotton, and hot air balloon rides, weather permitting.

Tickets are just $10 each and are currently being sold at Collelas andHopkinton Wine and Spirits, and can also be purchased by contacting Maureen Belger at mwb853@gmail.com or 508.686.2790.
