The Hopkinton Fire Department will open their station to the public on October 21st for their Annual Open House. The event at Fire Headquarters will be from 11am to 2pm. Residents and children will have the opportunity to view demonstrations, learn about fire safety, and tour the station. Refreshments will be provided and Sparky the dog is expected to make an appearance.

The Open House provides an opportunity for firefighters to focus on the educational theme of Fire Prevention week. This year’s theme is “Have Two Ways Out”. Firefighter’s will remind residents of how important it is to have a home fire escape plan that prepares families to think fast and get out quickly. Just as important is having a second way out if the first exit is blocked by smoke or fire.
