They say all streaks are meant to come to an end, On Wednesday January 14th, another incredible streak ended as the Norton Lancers beat the Hopkinton Hillers Girls Indoor Track & Field team for the first time since 2006. The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Indoor Track Team won 144 meets in a row heading into Wednesday. Norton defeated Hopkinton 49-37 in a close, back and forth battle. Norton is off to their best start in school history as they are currently 7 and 0 on the season. What made the victory even more impressive for Norton, the Lancers have only 27 members on their track team compared to Hopkinton's 86.

Hopkinton Girls Track may have had a tough loss but the likelihood of winning 144 meets in a row and going on a winning streak since 2006 is unthinkable and nearly impossible. In my opinion I think 1 loss in 8 plus years is pretty impressive. The Hopkinton Hillers are 4 and 1 on the season and will work on starting their next winning streak in the next meet.
