VOLUNTEER HELP WANTED!
Elmwood School will be doing our share as part of “Hopkinton Green up Day”
When: Saturday, April 12th, at 8:30 am-11:30am.
Where: Meet at the Elmwood School Main Entrance
Who: All ages encouraged to participate!
What will we be doing?
We will be sprucing up our playground and school grounds! We are looking for any help you can provide, for any amount of time, from half an hour up to three hours! The more, the merrier! This is a great opportunity for you and your chil(dren) to give a little effort to make a BIG difference!
Projects we want to tackle:
Remove all debris and trash from the long winter months
Sweep off all of the leaves and debris from the basketball court
Pick up fallen debris and branches from the playground area
Cut back/prune some of our bushes and junipers
Cut back weeds along the perimeter of the playground area and fence
Pick Weeds and Lay fresh Mulch along the front walk
Plant new flowers / shrubs
We are also asking that you bring some equipment that we can use to make the effort a success! You may also want to bring a snack and some water!
Helpful tools include:
Shovels
Wheel barrows
Rakes and Brooms
Pruners/pruning equipment
Tarps
Barrels
Hot Chocolate
Gardening/Work Gloves for you and your child
