Hopkinton High School Principal Public Forum April 3

The search process for the next Principal of Hopkinton High School is nearing completion. There will be an opportunity for interested faculty, staff, parents, and community members to meet each of these candidates on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 7:00-8:30 PM, and provide feedback to the Superintendent. This public forum will be held in the High School Auditorium. Those attending will have opportunity to hear the candidates speak about their experience and training, ask the candidates questions, and complete a feedback sheet that Dr. Hiersche will consider when making his selection.

Brief biographical information about each finalist is included below.

Mr. John Smith – Public Forum Presentation 7:00 PM
Mr. Smith holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History, from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). He is currently the Principal for Westborough High School. He previously served as Principal and Assistant Principal/Dean of Students for Nashoba Regional High School. He began his career in education as a social studies teacher at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Fitchburg.

Mr. Michael Cournoyer – Public Forum Presentation 7:45 PM
Mr. Cournoyer holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Lowell. He is currently the Principal for Holliston High School. He previously served as Assistant Principal of Hopkinton High School, and began his career in education as a high school health teacher at Southbridge High School.
