The Hopkinton Hillers Baseball team improved to 5 and 3 as they took down the Medway Mustangs 3-2. It took 11 innings on an extremely cold, windy afternoon Tuesday but the Hillers got the job done.

Junior Evan Park started for Hopkinton and had a solid outing pitching 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits and had 6 strikeouts. Andrew McMillan slid over from SS to pitch the remaining 5 innings and kept Medway scoreless while striking out 7.

For Medway, Junior Kevin Leland had a terrific outing, after giving up 1 run in both the 1st and 2nd inning, he managed to keep the Hillers scoreless the following 6 innings.

The Hillers scored their 1st run of the game when Catcher Ben Palleiko hit an RBI single to drive in Matt Decina, then in the 2nd inning, Andrew McMillan hit an RBI single to drive in LF Calvin Holland. Medway would strike back in the 6th as 2B Chris Ostaszewski sacrificed to drive in Pat Langille, followed up by Andrew Henry scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game. Hopkinton did threaten in the 8th with 3 hits but would finally close it out in the 11th as 2B Brandon Wolfe and SS Andrew McMillan singled to start off the inning. Matt Decina drew a walk and loaded up the bases, Nick Burns followed with a fielders choice but Chris Moberg would put it away with the game winning hit driving Andrew McMillan around for the winning run in the 11th.
