Hopkinton Hillers Scores 9-7-2016

-Hillers Boys Soccer picked up a win in their first game of the season as they shutout Ashland 4-0. Senior, Ben Fargiano and Sophomore, Michael Poovakad scored the two first half goals and then the Hillers added 2 more in the 2nd half to run away with the victory.

-Hillers Girls Soccer played in game 2 of the Boys-Girls Varsity doubleheader versus Ashland. The girls played a tough, physical game against the Clockers but were not able to come up with a goal as the Clockers got the 1-0 victory. Ashland Sophomore, Elena Pellegrini scored the only of the game towards the beginning of the 2nd half.

-Boys Cross Country - Hopkinton Boys raced at Bellingham today. Hopkinton won 22-37. Johnny Cowen came in first with a time of 17:30 over the 2.79 mile course. Senior Captain, Jon Katz, placed second in 17:42. Bellingham took third followed by freshman, Ian Cann, at 18:03. Next up brother Jack Dionne and Will Dionne followed by Same Cote and Ethan Ritterbusch. We will host our first home meet on Tuesday, Sept 13th against a strong Westwood team. -Girls Cross Country - Won at Bellingham today, Sweep of first 7 places led by SR Kerry Driscoll

-Hillers Field Hockey Defeated Bellingham 4-0

-Hillers Volleyball Swept Ashland 3-0

9/7 - The Freshman girls soundly beat Ashland 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 15-8). Great serving by Ally Graeber and Ashley McDermott was the driving force behind the Hiller's victory. Solid sets by Julia Annenberg and Julia DiBenedetto paired with several kills by Mackenzie Ostrowski also helped lead the girls to their first win of the season!
