Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 10-23-2018

-On Monday (10/22) Hillers Field Hockey lost on the road to Holliston 1-0. The playoff-bound Hillers have 8 wins, 7 losses and 2 ties on the season.

-Hopkinton Hillers Football has qualified for the MIAA HS football playoffs and earned the 3rd seed in the South Division 4 bracket. The Hillers finished regular season play 4 and 3 after they defeated Westwood 20-0 this past Friday. In the quarterfinals (1st round), the Hillers will host 6th seeded 4 and 3 Nauset. The game will take place at David M. Hughes Stadium (Friday October 26th) at 7pm.

-The HMS boys' soccer team pushed its record 9-0-1 with a 10-3 victory in Millis yesterday. Playing well for the Hillers was Andrew Palacios, Luke Boothyard, Chris Holly, Quinn O'Connor, and Harry Petrie. The boys next play on Wednesday in Wellesley. Their last home game is Thursday on Field #13 starting at 4:30.

-The HMS Girls' soccer team won their game against Millis yesterday 3-0. Stands outs for the game were Lily Tourginy who controlled the midfield with her smart playmaking and Maddie Silva who brought her opponents to a standstill with her defensive playing. The girls play next in Wellesley on Wednesday.

-8th grade field hockey finished their season with strong, solid play despite the result of 2-1 in favor of Natick Wilson. Libby Barker-Hook scored with an assist from Maura Souza with a beautiful tucked into the corner. Congrats on a fun and successful season!
