Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 10-29-2018: Field Hockey set for Playoffs!

-The Hopkinton Hillers Field Hockey team qualified for the playoffs with a 8-8-2 record and 18 standings points overall. The Hillers enter the South Division 1 sectionals as the 22nd seed and will play their first postseason game 4pm on Thursday, November 1st at 11th seeded Barstable High School. The Hillers Field Hockey team qualifies for the playoffs for the 5th straight season!

Contributed Updates:
-The HMS boy's soccer team won their game versus Millis last Friday 7-2 pushing their record to 11-0-1. The team tied their opening game and then went on to win 11 consecutive games. Congratulations to the boys for being the HMS soccer program's only 2nd undefeated team and the team with the best winning percentage in the program's 22 year history. Leading the way in the Millis game included the following goal scorers: Nate Lee, Quinn O'Connor, Chris Holly, Andrew Palacios, Eric Touzjian and Luke Boothroyd. Players are reminded to return their uniforms clean to Coach Verra in the Guidance Office.

-On Friday the HMS girls' soccer team won their last game of the season 8-0 against Millis. Casey Tourigny and Arianna Schaefer is had a goal and the rest were scored by Emma Champlin and Shelby Jones. The team couldn't have had the success they had without the incredible defense including goalies Libby Herlihy and Michaela Scannevin. The girls ended their season 10-2.
