Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 9-17-2018

Varsity Finals:
Boys Soccer: Hillers Defeat Bishop Feehan 3-1. Hopkinton records 4th straight win and is now 4 and 1 on the season.

Girls Soccer: Bishop Feehan defeats Hopkinton 2-1. Hopkinton now stands at 1 win, 3 losses and 1 tie on season.

Girls Volleyball: Hopkinton picks up road win over Medway 3-1. Hopkinton remains undefeated at 5 and 0 on the season.

Contributed Updates:

-The HMS boys' soccer team played to a 3-3 tie to open their season. Sam Vasington netted a goal sending the game into halftime with a 1-1 score. The Hillers trailed 3-1 late into the 2nd half. Peter DeMichele scored a goal to make the game 3-2 with less than 3 minutes to go. Matt Zettek then tied the game with a goal at the 30 second mark. Danny McCabe played well in goal. The boys next play at Millis on Thursday.

-The 8th grade field hockey team played their opener yesterday at Wellesley with a 0-0 result. Marissa Smith was stellar in goal as she faced over 20 corners without allowing a goal. Great team effort!!
