The Hopkinton Historical Commission (HHC) is pleased to announce the completion of the Historic Property Survey Update that was funded equally by the Hopkinton Community Preservation Commission and a grant from the Ma. Historical Commission. After a public RFP process of qualified historic preservation consultants the HHC hired Jennifer Doherty to complete the survey. This survey is of the cultural and architectural resources in and around the existing Hopkinton Center Local Historic District and the surrounding downtown and neighborhood areas.

The 2017-18 Inventory Forms from the survey documentation can be found on the Town Web site and at the Hopkinton Public Library. The HHC is also encouraged that the Historic District Commission (HDC) intends to use this survey to promote an expansion of the Downtown Historical District. The HDC believes that by expanding the historic district, the character and historic significance of our town can be preserved.

The events and timing for the District expansion can be found on the Town Web site under the HDC.
