Love fencing? A fan of The Princess Bride? Learn about swordfighting in the movies at "I See You Know Your Agrippa", presented by the Association for Renaissance and Medieval Swordsmanship at 7 pm on Monday, July 18 at St. John the Evangelist Church.

This presentation will explore the roots of Hollywood Golden Age fight choreography and the historical origins of the fight masters referenced in both the book and the script of The Princess Bride. In addition to a demonstration of stage combat and historical period swordplay, you will witness a brief reinterpretation of the fight from The Princess Bride itself using actual historical technique.

Don't worry, be happy! Join us to discuss The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin at 1 pm on Saturday, July 16. This is a walking discussion, so wear comfortable shoes! Meet at the Middle School parking lot for a low-key walk around the athletic fields or up and down the Center Trail as we talk about the book.

Rain date: Saturday, July 23, 1 pm.

(Can't make this discussion? We'll be holding one more - a regular sitting-down discussion - at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 27.)
