Hopkinton Police Investigate Pedestrian Struck in Roadway

The Hopkinton Police Department is actively investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Main Street on December 14, 2018, at 9:30 p.m. The Hopkinton Public Safety Dispatch Center received reports of a person struck by a car. Public safety personnel responded to Main Street and found a 63 year old man who had sustained injuries from a motor vehicle crash. The Hopkinton Fire Department transported the man to hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash caused the roadway to be detoured while the patient was treated and the investigation was conducted. Witness accounts report that two men were crossing the street from the North side. The men were not in the crosswalk. One man made it across the road however, the other was struck by the car.
