Library staff continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and work with each other and Town officials to respond appropriately. In accordance with Governor Baker's emergency order on March 23, the library has stopped offering any services that require or encourage residents to leave their homes.

Our book drop is now CLOSED. Please DO NOT return any library materials at this time! We cannot be responsible for items left outside of the library, which may be damaged by weather or stolen. Item due dates will be extended until the library reopens, and we will forgive fines that may have accrued due to the pandemic.

Our holds pickup service has been discontinued.
All library events and meeting room reservations are cancelled through at least April 7.

You can access ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, databases and more through the library from home; visit www.hopkintonlibrary.org/ebooks.asp and www.hopkintonlibrary.org/resources.asp. Don't have an active library card? You can now sign up for the Overdrive Instant Digital Card for temporary access to the Overdrive digital book/audiobook collection. Instructions are available at https://www.cwmars.org/News.

Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter (links are at the bottom of this message) for regular Alphabet Scavenger Hunts and information about Children's Room programs being offered online.

Library staff will still be checking phone (508-497-9777) and e-mail (hopkintonlibrary@hopkintonma.gov). Please contact us for questions or concerns regarding your account, materials you have checked out, or services that we are providing at this time. We will make every effort to respond to all messages, but it may take us slightly longer than usual.

We are actively working on finding ways to support our community in these unusual circumstances. For updates, please check our website at www.hopkintonlibrary.org, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Staff miss our patrons and appreciate the supportive messages we have received. We send you our very best wishes for health and safety, encourage you to stay at home as much as you can until the emergency order is lifted, and hope to see you back in the library as soon as possible!
