Hopkinton Seeks Full-Time Administrative Assistant/Billing Clerk

Under the general supervision of the DPW Director, the Administrative Assistant/Billing Clerk performs various activities and provides necessary administrative support to efficiently meet the needs of the DPW, including Water and Sewer Billing and Accounts Payable. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties which involve daily contact with staff, other Town departments, customers, contractors, and residents. A high degree of confidentiality as well as excellent quality and commitment to customer service is paramount. This position is entrusted with the management of the daily operations and budget of the DPW.

Qualifications – Requires equivalent to:

Associates Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 five years of experience in a fast paced office setting.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines under constant interruptions.
An excellent working knowledge of MS Office products including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The incumbent must have superior customer service skills and high quality verbal and written abilities.
Municipal experience and bookkeeping skills are preferred.
