The Hopkinton Water & Sewer Division must comply with the State's Cross Connection Control program. The purpose of this program is to ensure the health and safety of the public drinking water supply for all water users. An essential part of this program is the testing of all Double Check Valve Assembly and Reduced Pressure Zone backflow prevention devices.
The Division recently contracted with Water Safety Services of Woburn, MA to conduct that testing. They are a well established company that is used by numerous communities for this purpose. All of their technicians will wear a WSS uniform and will be scheduling tests between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
