Mark your calendars and round up a few of your child's soccer teammates to come cheer on the Hopkinton High School Varsity Soccer teams as they take on local rivals Holliston.
This will be a special event as it the only game this year the high school varsity boys and girls soccer teams play simultaneous home games and their only games this season played on the turf fields at the Fruit Street Athletic Complex.
This will be a special Hopkinton Youth Soccer evening with free admission. In addition, the first 100 kids to arrive will get a special varsity soccer team poster which the players will sign after the game. There will also be concessions and prizes for the teams/individuals that show the most spirit.
Here is the evening’s agenda:
- Time: 4:45 PM to 6:50 PM
- Location: Fruit Street Athletic Complex-Fields one and two
- Admission: free
- Main Event:
Girls and Boys Varsity Soccer game against Holliston
Activities:
- 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM Junior Varsity Soccer Concession Stand
- 4:45 PM to 5:30 PM Hillers Varsity Soccer Posters Give Away for the first 100 Hopkinton Youth Soccer Players attending.
- Team Spirit/Hillers Super Fan Contest
- HYS Team Spirit Award
- Participants - In Town - Kindergarten through 2nd Grade teams
- Teams dress us as team name (eagles, cheetas, etc.)
- First 10 teams get a gift certificate for a pizza party (one large pizza and bottle of soda – donated by Bills)
- Team’s and their coach should check in with HYS Registration Desk at entrance gate
- Pizza Party Certificates to be awarded at half time by Carolyn Beebe - Foundation Director or Kevin Normandeau
- Hillers Super Fan Contest
- Participants - Individual HYS players grades 3rd though 8th
- Two Content Groupings:
- Grades 3rd through 5th
- Grades 6th through 8th
- Individual super fan contestants check in with HYS Registration Desk at entrance gate for number in their age bracket between 4:45 and 5:00.
- Judging will take place between 5:00 PM and 5:20 PM
- Grades 3rd through 5th To the left of the entrance gate
- Grades 6th through 8th To the Right of the entrance gate
- Judges will rate each individual based on the following criteria :
- creativity/originality = 50%
- enthusiasm = 50%
- Judges will select three finalists for each age group
- Winners will be presented at halftime
- 1st Place = $50 Hiller Store Gift Certificate
- 2nd Place = $40 Hiller Store Gift Certificate
- 3rd Place = $30 Hiller Store Gift Certificate
- Varsity Signature Alley
- 6:35 PM to 6:50 PM the Hopkinton girls and boys varsity soccer players will be available to sign posters, balls, etc.
