On Friday, October 28, over 300 “Hoptoberfest” partygoers filled St. John’s Parish Hall, raising over $30,000 for the Library renovation and expansion project set to open its doors in the Summer of 2017. Hopkinton Public Library Foundation’s Fourth Annual Hoptoberfest, a fun night out to celebrate the fall and enjoy all things local, helped Library fundraising top $800,000.

Partygoers enjoyed fantastic food and sweet treats from 110 Grill, Ashland Ale House, Bertucci's, Chef McFall, Julie's Z Breads, Kati Cakes, Not Your Average Joe's, Oliva's, and Sal's Pizza. Guests tasted seasonal brews from Clown Shoes, Jack's Abby, and Atlas Distributing. Marty’s Liquors joined the festivities sampling wine, spirits and cheese. Starbucks also provided coffee to keep guests warm. Congratulations to Doug Fecko, winner of the Home Brew Contest judged by Ted Twinney of Startline Brewery and Phil Todaro of Waterfresh Farms.

Phipps Insurance Agency generously sponsored Hoptoberfest at the Platinum Level. The following Gold Level Sponsors joined the festivities: Elizabeth Blake Orthodontics, Hopkinton Hopheads, Middlesex Savings Bank, Pink Truck, Scott's Landscaping, and Webster First Federal Credit Union. Silver Level Sponsors included Hopkinton Drug and Athletic Strength Training. Hopkinton Stone & Garden generously donated pumpkins to the festive décor of the evening. Photographer Mariah Comolli documented the evening and provided fabulous keepsakes commemorating a wonderful fundraiser.

Thank you to all who participated in the planning and partying, and to all the generous sponsors, restaurants, caterers, drink providers, and local businesses and individuals who made this such a successful and fantastic event for the fourth year in a row.
